1. What is the function of the middle layer of epithemis of skin?

2. Are *****ocytosis and inflammatory response immune response?

3. My textbook says, pathogens are micro-organisms which cause diseases and many of them are bacteria and viruses. Is there any contradiction? Viruses are micro-organisms?

1. (1) It acts as a potective layer to the beneath tissue.
(2) It will replace the outermost dead cell layer eventually.

2. Yes. *****ocytosis is the process which *****ocytes engulf pathogens.
Inflammatory would attract white blood cell to the inflected area.

3. Actually, there are still arguments about if viuses are living things. So, different books would have different explanations. But if you want to gain marks in HKCEE, you should think that they are non-living.
